EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest news and gossip coming out of Anfield.
Mario Balotelli - Spotlight On
Mamadou Sakho has been handed a lifeline by Jurgen Klopp.
The defender was expected to leave the club on loan before deadline day, but he rejected moves to Stoke and West Brom.
However it seems he has been given a chance to fight for his Liverpool future after being named in the club's 25-man Premier League squad.
Mario Balotelli was inundated with offers from clubs all over Europe.
That is according to his agent Mino Raiola.
The striker joined Nice on a free transfer on deadline day.
But Raiola maintains his client was in demand, despite his miserable two seasons with the Reds.
"Nice was not a last resort for Mario. He had many offers," Raiola said.
