Adnan Januzaj scored Sunderland's winning goal against Shrewsbury in the EFL Cup
The 21-year-old joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United after he was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Jose Mourinho.
He has played in all three of Sunderland’s opening games and scored the winning goal against League One side Shrewsbury to hand David Moyes his first win and secure progress to the third round of the EFL Cup last night.
And Bracewell heaped praise on Januzaj despite admitting he is still a work in progress.
“All of a sudden, he can turn, and it was a great finish to get a result on a tough night.”
“Some things we were happy with and some things we weren’t.
“He’s got that ability to deliver something very special like that.”
