The Blues are set to complete the signing of Leicester midfielder N'Golo Kante for £30million after he agreed to a five-year deal worth £120,000 a week.
Express Sport understands the France international's arrival will be announced this weekend after he undergoes a medical, making him Chelsea's second signing of the summer.
Kante only signed for Leicester last summer and was a stand-out player as Claudio Ranieri's side went on to claim the Premier League title.
Meanwhile, Blues manager Antonio Conte has hinted that he is looking to bring in another three players before the end of the transfer window.
The Italian said: "I am sure that soon we will buy maybe one, two or three players. Players that can reinforce us for the season as it will be very, very tough.
“We must take a player who can adapt to our idea of football, to our philosophy. It's not right to say the names, no, because these players are now at other teams."
