His good form has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs looking to offer him an escape from Newcastle after they were relegated to the Championship last season.
According to French newspaper Le10Sport, Manchester United are eyeing a move for the midfielder as a back-up plan if they fail to land Juventus superstar Paul Pogba.
"We want everything to go well."
Tottenham, Liverpool, Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Sissoko.
Klopp gave up on signing protege Mario Gotze and bought Sadio Mane but midfield is still an area of concern and Sissoko’s dynamism could see him fit into the German manager’s system.
And the player himself has told FootMercato he cannot stay with Newcastle any longer.
“If I want to stay in the France team I could not stay in the Championship,” Sissoko said.
“There will be discussions.
“I hope they will go with my wishes.
“I want to go.”
