Juventus have offered Paul Pogba a new contract in a late attempt to block his prospoed move to Manchester United, coording to his agent.
United manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign 23-year-old Pogba, who quit the club for Juve on a free transfer four years ago.
Mourinho has already landed deals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mhkitaryan this summer, who are fellow clients of Pogba's agent Mino Raiola.
New Newcastle defender Isaac Hayden has explained his reasons behind leaving Arsenal.
The centre-back quit the Gunners today when signing a five-year contract with Championship side Newcastle.
He had played on loan at Hull last season, where he helped the Tigers win promotion to the Premier League.
"Being at Arsenal was a great experience, I learned a lot there and have a lot to thank them for, but I needed to move on and so when Newcastle came in for me I jumped at the chance," the 21-year-old said.
Hayden has signed a five-year contract at Newcastle
"Newcastle is a massive football club and to be given the opportunity to come here is fantastic.
"I am still young but I want to get as many games under my belt as I can and help the team bounce back to the Premier League."
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez sad of the new arrival: "We continue with our plan to bring in players who are hungry to succeed and prove themselves, which Isaac really is."
"Isaac is a young, strong English player with fantastic potential but also with some experience already of the Championship. We welcome him to the club."
