Everton are reportedely interested in signing Leciester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel
The 29-year-old played a key part in the Foxes' historic Premier League title-winning campaign last season, keeping 15 clean sheets in the process.
Schmeichel has two years remaining on his current deal at the King Power Stadium and is said to have a £17million release clause in his contract.
And the Liverpool Echo claim Everton are keen to activate this clause as Ronald Koeman looks for a new No.1 to succeed Tim Howard.
The report adds Schmeichel already has a house in the north West and is open to the possibility of a move to Merseyside thanks to the ambition of majority investor Farhad Moshiri and the appeal of working under Koeman.
