Ibrahimovic has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since he confirmed he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer.
The 34-year-old is widely expected sign for United which will see him secure a reunion with Jose Mourinho, who he worked with for a season at Inter Milan.
And the BBC claim his long-awaited move to Old Trafford will be completed by this Sunday, with the big Swede signing a one-year deal which Express Sport understands will be worth £300,000-a-week.
Ibrahimovic, who recently announced his retirement from international football, has been coy when asked about his future - with the former Barcelona hitman admitting he enjoyed the speculation surrounding his next destination.

It is claimed the reason for Ibrahimovic stalling on his decision to reveal his next club is because he is due to receive a £3.9m loyalty bonus if he sees out his contract at PSG, which expires on June 30 (tomorrow).
But with his contract expiring this frees him up to move to Old Trafford where he will become Mourinho's second signing, having already completed the £30million signing of Eric Bailly from Villarreal.
