Everton offer three-year deal to France international: Chelsea and Crystal Palace stumped
EVERTON have offered a three-year contract to Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, according to reports.
Steve Mandanda has reportedly been offered a three-year contract by Everton
The 31-year-old will leave the Ligue 1 side this summer on a free transfer with his contract set to expire.
A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the 31-year-old having been an integral part of Marseille's team since arriving on a permanent deal in 2008.
Chelsea were said to have discussed terms for Mandanda earlier this month after Antonio Conte earmarked him as a potential replacement for Asmir Begovic.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were reportedly in advanced talks to sign Mandanda with Eagles boss Alan Pardew considering him an upgrade to first-choice stopper Wayne Hennessey.
However, French website Foot Mercato claim Everton are now in pole position to sign the keeper after offering him a lucrative three-year deal.

It is claimed negotiations over a deal between Mandanda's agent and the Toffees happened three weeks ago, but fell flat.
Despite this Mandanda's agent will now meet with Everton for further discussions to try and get a deal over the line.
Mandanda, who is currently away on international duty at Euro 2016 with France, kept 12 clean sheets for Marseille in 45 appearances last season.
