West Brom eye deal for Liverpool man to replace £16m Stoke-bound striker
WEST BROM will try to loan Liverpool’s Jordon Ibe in a bid to replace Saido Berahino, according to reports.
Ibe is being eyed as a replacement for Berahino by West Brom
Berahino was the subject of prolonged transfer negotiations between Tottenham and West Brom last summer.
However, Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace and Spurs counterpart Daniel Levy were unable to agree a fee despite Berahino handing in a transfer request.
When the move broke down, Berahino’s form nose-dived and Tony Pulis dropped him.
However, an initial enquiry is said to have been rejected by Jurgen Klopp but Pulis is determined to land his man.
West Brom are reportedly hoping that a loan move will be more attractive to both club and player given that Ibe is still only 20.
