West Ham transfer blow: Roma line up £24m bid for striker Carlos Bacca
ROMA will reportedly rival West Ham with a £24million bid for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.
Roma are reportedly closing in on AC Milan's Carlos Bacca
Bacca has been linked with a move to east London in recent weeks and Italian website CalcioMercato claimed the Hammers were favourites to sign him.
The report said Bacca's agent Sergio Barila was set for talks in London with West Ham to iron out personal terms for the striker.
Roma's interest ties in with claims from Bacca's agent Barila who told TuttoMercatoWeb this month he was evaluating a number of offers.
"Bacca and myself are evaluating more than one possibility," he said.
“There are many important teams who have contacted us, which is normal since Bacca is a striker who guarantees many goals per season."
