Borussia Dortmund midfielder praises Jurgen Klopp but downplays Liverpool switch
BORUSSIA DORTMUND midfielder Nuri Sahin has denied he wants to return to Liverpool to link up with his former boss Jurgen Klopp.
Nuri Sahin is currently at Euro 2016 with Turkey
The Turkish international is currently in his second spell at Dortmund following a three-year spell at Real Madrid.
During his time with Madrid he spent five-months on loan at Anfield in 2012, making 12 appearances for the Reds.
However the 27-year-old has played down rumours linking him with a move away from the Westfalenstadion this summer.
"I am very happy at Dortmund," Sahin told Sport360.
"Yesterday it was Galatasaray, tomorrow it is Fiorentina - it's normal of course in football to hear these things but I am very happy at Dortmund.
"I'm happy that I am healthy again. I will finish the Euros, and then my focus will be fully on Dortmund. I'm fit and I hope I can have a good preseason."
Depsite ruling out a move, Sahin praised his former boss Klopp, who he believes has done a good job at Liverpool.
"Am I impressed [with Klopp]? Yes," Sahin added. "But I am certainly not surprised."
