SUNDERLAND are reportedly interested in signing France midfielder Clement Chantome after he snubbed a new contract at Bordeaux.

The 28-year-old was linked with the Black Cats back in February as their scouting network got to work on summer deals.
Chantome is out of contract and available to move on a free transfer.
And the Sunderland Echo claim a move for the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star could be on the cards.

It is claimed Everton are interested, with new manager Ronald Koeman keen to bring in fresh faces at Goodison Park.
Express Sport understands Koeman will be given a £100million transfer budget to rejuvenate Everton's squad.
Middlesbrough are also linked with Chantome, who earned his sole France cap back in 2012.
Newly-promoted Boro are thought to be closing in on a permanent deal for last season's loan star Gaston Ramirez, although Gazette Live claim work permit issues are holding up the move.
