Bundesliga club chief opens up on deal with Chelsea for international defender
WERDER BREMEN are looking to sign Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji on a permanent basis, general manager Frank Baumann has confirmed.
Werder Bremen want to sign Papy Djilobodji on a permanent basis
Djilobodji made the move to Stamford Bridge last summer but failed to make a single league appearance for either Jose Mourinho or Guus Hiddink.
He was instead loaned out in January to German side Werder Bremen where he quickly settled into the starting XI.
The report claims the German club could face competition for his signature from Russian side Spartak Moscow.
Djilobodji is a senegal international and has 12 caps for his country, appearing in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
