Newcastle keen on signing Spanish striker as Rafa Benitez plots Premier League return
NEWCASTLE are considering a move for Spanish striker Jose Naranjo, according to reports in Spain.
Rafa Benitez has confirmed he will stay at Newcastle to plot their top flight return
The Magpies were relegated from the Premier League this season, despite losing just one of their final seven games.
And a host of star names, including Georginio Wijnaldum, Tim Krul and Jonjo Shelvey, have been linked with transfers away from St James’ Park.
And that form has apparently peaked the attention of his fellow Spaniard.
The same report claims Naranjo is available for just £2.38million this summer, due to a release clause included in the contract he agreed after signing from Recreativo last year.
Newcastle will discover who they will play on the opening day of next season when the new Championship fixtures are released on June 22.
