Leicester star Jamie Vardy is not going to join Arsenal - Ray Parlour
JAMIE VARDY will not join Arsenal this summer despite undergoing a medical and the club's media staff preparing for the announcement, according to Ray Parlour.
Vardy is said to be waiting until after Euro 2016 to choose between Arsenal and Leicester
Parlour claims the Arsenal digital department was called down to the training ground for the conclusion of the deal before Vardy had a change of heart.
Arsenal triggered Vardy's £20million release clause last week and hoped to tie up a deal before he travelled to France with the England squad for Euro 2016.
The England striker scored 24 goals last season to help Leicester to a stunning first Premier League triumph.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Vardy had agreed verbally to join the Gunners although nothing had been signed.
And Leicester are thought to have offered the 29-year-old a new and improved contract in a desperate effort to convince him to lead their debut Champions League campaign.
However, Express Sport understands Vardy will not tell either club of his decision until after the conclusion of England’s Euro 2016 campaign.
