Man United transfer blow: Club set to increase defender's release clause to £35m
BENFICA are reportedly set to offer defender Victor Lindelof a new contract to ward off interest from Manchester United.
Victor Lindelof is reportedly set to be handed a new contract by Benfica
Lindelof emerged as a target for United last month, with Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet claiming the club had made a £20million bid for the centre-back.
This was followed by reports in Portuguese newspaper A Bola last week which claimed Benfica wouldn't listen to offers below the 21-year-old's £23m release clause.
"I have a contract with Benfica and am excited to be here."
Besides United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the Sweden international.
