Liverpool and Arsenal hope as West Ham are told to pay £4m extra to complete transfer
LIVERPOOL and Arsenal remain in the race to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca after West Ham saw their £16million opening bid rejected.
Milan want around £20m for Carlos Bacca
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim Milan are determined to bump up the price of their star forward.
Bacca, 29, only joined Milan from Sevilla last summer and scored 20 goals in his debut season in Italy.
But Milan are willing to offload the frontman at the right price as they face financial difficulties after failing to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Carlos Bacca - Spotlight on
His agent last month insisted Bacca would not force an exit from Milan, meaning West Ham must convince him of their project in east London.
The Hammers are seeking new recruits ahead of their move into the Olympic Stadium and manager Slaven Bilic has been tasked with sourcing a fresh striker.
They were supposedly in for Zlatan ibrahimovic - who is tipped to join Manchester United on a free transfer this summer - while Sunderland are said to be interested in signing Diafra Sakho, which would leave a gap for Bilic to fill with his own man.
