AC MILAN could hijack Manchester United's attempt to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic if they can rush through a takeover from Chinese investors, according to sensational reports in Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim Zlatan Ibrahimovic could join Milan if investors are found
Ibrahimovic, 34, has been lined up to join United on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
But Milan are thought to be preparing a rival offer for the Sweden superstar and believe they can afford his wages if a takeover of the club happens.
Ibrahimovic is reportedly demanding a £220,000-a-week contract and yesterday confirmed he has offers from the Premier League and Serie A.
"There are concrete offers from England, Italy, all countries," he said.
"Even outside Europe. There are concrete inquiries. There are many options! You need not worry."

Negotiations over the investment are expected to conclude by June 15, which means United still have a window in which to get their deal done.
Express Sport understands Jose Mourinho will be confirmed as United's new manager today and that he will push to land Ibrahimovic, who played under the Portuguese boss at Inter Milan.
Mourinho is also said to be eyeing a number of other targets, including Everton defender John Stones and Aymeric Laporte of Bilbao, while Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Mario remains on his wish-list.
