At the start of the month, reports emerged Giggs would walk away from the club if Mourinho was hired.
And according to the Sun, Mourinho wants to retain Giggs’ services.
However, the Welshman is thought to be ready for a clean break to become a No.1 elsewhere.
It is thought Mourinho will look at other alternatives to Giggs.

The report suggests the United dressing room see Mourinho as only a short-term solution and would have preferred Giggs to succeed Van Gaal.

United finished their campaign on a high on Saturday at Wembley by beating Crystal Palace 2-1 to win the FA Cup.
It was their first piece of silverware since Sir Alex Ferguson retired as manager three years ago.
