Chelsea powerless over rushed deal: Rivals agree to activate £30m release clause
CHELSEA will miss out on Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic as Juventus agree to activate the player's release clause, according to reports in Italy.
Juventus are said to be ready to trigger Chelsea target Miralem Pjanic's release clause
The Blues are thought to have tracked Pjanic for a number of weeks, with a bid said to be in the pipeline for the summer.
He is on incoming manager Antonio Conte's list of targets, which includes Roma team-mate Radja Nainggolan.
Chelsea are said to have progressed in talks over Nainggolan but they are likely to now miss out on playmaker Pjanic.

However, numerous reports in Italy claim Juve officials have set aside the required cash to force Roma's hand and that a move will take place as soon as the transfer window opens on 1 July.
Chelsea have also heard they are unlikely to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who wants to remain at the Turin club.
It leaves Conte with work to do as he seeks to restructure his midfield, especially with Serie A champions Juve eyeing a £20m swoop for Oscar.
