Former Everton striker dismisses Toffees link: Happy with current club
MARK Hughes insists he is happy at Stoke.
Mark Hughes has been in charge of Stoke since 2013
Hughes has been linked with the managerial vacancy at Everton after the sacking of Roberto Martinez.
But Hughes has no plans to leave the Bet365 Stadium after three years in charge.
The former Manchester City and Wales boss said: “I am one of the more experienced Premier League managers so I shouldn’t be surprised by it really.
Hughes said: “It’s a bad injury unfortunately. A double fracture is very rare.
“But the surgeon was very happy with the result of the operation. He has had a pin put in it and by all accounts it went as well as it could have done.
“That’s a positive and on that basis, Stephen will play for Stoke again, so we wish him well.”
Shay Given and Glen Johnson are back in Stoke’s squad for the visit of the sixth-placed Hammers.
