Jose Mourinho to Man Utd: Portuguese takes huge step closer to landing Old Trafford job
JOSE MOURINHO has taken a huge step closer to becoming the next Manchester United manager, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho is keen to land the Manchester United job
The Portuguese has been out of work since his sacking by Chelsea in December and is keen to return to management.
Earlier today Mourinho confirmed that he will be back in managemgent for next season.
"Of course I miss it," he said. "But in July I will be back. So we are in May and May to July is nothing.
"I keep enjoying my life which I'm doing, keep enjoying my family. But in July I am back. June 30 (to sign a contract) - that's fine."
Widespread reports last month suggested Mourinho had signed a pre-contract agreement with United to take over from Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.
But according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Mourinho’s pre-contract has now become an official contract that he looks to have signed.
