Liverpool yesterday emerged as favourites to land Germany international Gotze after incoming Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti was said to have told the midfielder he wasn't needed at the club.
Ancelotti is working hard on transfer targets ahead of the new season, where Bayern will expect to challenge again for the Bundesliga and Champions League titles.
And German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung claims the Italian is prepared to cut ties with Gotze.

According to the report, Juve's head coach Massimiliano Allegri wants to sign a player capable of playing behind a main striker.
Gotze's contract expires next summer and Juve hope to land him on a cheap deal, with Bayern aware they could lose him for nothing next summer.
As for Liverpool, they are said to have already enquired about Gotze's availability and are favourites with the bookies to secure a deal.
