Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Man United: Star rejects two contract offers, third option unlikely
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC is reportedly ready to reject an offer to join Manchester United - but he won't be moving to China either.
AC Milan could beat PSG and Manchester United to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's signature this summer
French newspaper L'Equipe claim the 34-year-old striker has received contract offers from both the Red Devils and the Chinese Super League.
But he is set to turn United's deal down if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season - a fate that looks increasingly likely.
United sit fifth in the Premier League, two points behind fourth-place Manchester City with just one game remaining.
The first is to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and extend his contract that will expire in July.
The second is to head back to AC Milan - the club he quit to join PSG in 2012.
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim Ibrahimovic favours a switch to the San Siro but that move could be scuppered by new investors from China.
It is claimed the incoming consortium would want to assess transfers and therefore negotiations for players - including Ibrahimovic - have been frozen until the partial takeover is complete.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 5 things you need to know
Ibrahimovic would likely take a wage cut to join Milan and United can offer for striker a better financial package but the draw of Italy appears to have given Milan a firm advantage in the transfer battle.
He currently earns £180,000 a week at the Parc des Princes and Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport add that Milan rivals Inter may also consider a swoop for Ibrahimovic if they can put together a competitive offer.
