Manchester United star speaks out on 'mad' season ahead of West Ham clash
JESSE LINGARD has admitted his breakthrough Premier League season for Manchester United has been nothing if not crazy.
Lingard will be hoping to add to his 31 appearances in the run-in
The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Derby but has been part of the first-team squad at Old Trafford for this campaign.
Lingard scored his first senior goal for the club in November and is now on the verge of helping United to FA Cup glory and qualification for the Champions League.
Achieving both of those would represent a salvage job given the turbulent season Louis van Gaal's side have endured and Lingard conceded that it has been a rollercoaster ride.
"We’re ready. We’ve been training hard.
"Mentally, you’ve got to prepare for that [the attention around Upton Park].
"We know there will be a great atmosphere but we won't let anything faze us on the day because we have a job to do, which is to get the three points."
