Man Utd Player Ratings: Awful Memphis Depay as Juan Mata and Chris Smalling impress
EXPRESS SPORT brings you Manchester United's player ratings from their win over Norwich.
Wayne Rooney had a difficult game
De Gea - Made an important save from Cameron Jerome after four minutes and had little to do afterwards - 6
Valencia - Had the right flank to himself as Juan Mata kept drifting inside but his final ball was inconsistent - 6
Smalling - Dealt with the lively Jerome excellently. His performances this season have been superb - 8
Rojo - Looked more comfortable at centre half than left back today - 7
Darmian - Brought into the team for the rested Daley Blind but was forced off early in the first half with an ankle injury - 5
Carrick - Dominated the midfield against a toothless Norwich. Was never stretched defensively - 6
Herrera - A late inclusion and he was his usual industrious self without ever dominating - 6
Mata - Starting getting on the ball more often in the second half and it was his well taken goal that gave United the crucial victory - 7
Lingard - Had little impact on the game. His promising new year display seem a long time ago now - 5
Memphis - Brought into the team with Rashford rested but struggled badly. Slow, careless in possession and on the periphery of the match - 4
Rooney - Playing as a striker after Martial's injury, the captain looked a little lost following his recent games in midfield. But he showed terrific composure to set up Mata's goal - 6
