Chelsea threaten want-away striker: Arsenal could swoop
CHELSEA have told Dominic Solanke to climb down from his massive wage demands or face a season playing non-competitive football, according to reports.
Solanke is out on loan but could face a season of playing under-19s and under-21s football
Solanke is currently to on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, the Dutch club where Chelsea routinely blood youngsters.
The 18-year-old has appeared 25 times in the Netherlands' top division this season with seven goals to his name and is set to return to Stamford Bridge next month.
But according to The Times, the Blues will not allow him to go out on loan again next campaign unless he signs a new contract.
Nigeria-born Solanke was hailed as a future England striker by Jose Mourinho but has only played once for Chelsea in a 6-0 Champions League win over Maribor.
Despite his lack of first-team experience, The Sun claim that Arsenal rate the youngster highly and should his dispute with Chelsea end unfavourably, the Gunners are ready to pounce on the teenager.
