Inside West Ham awards evening: Star player takes five, winger and youngster also winners
WEST HAM star Dimitri Payet crowned a successful first campaign in east London by winning five gongs at the Hammers’ end of season awards.
West Ham have won just one Premier League game this term without Dimitri Payet in the team
Ex-Marseille attacker Payet stole the show last night as he was named the final Hammer of the Year at Upton Park before their move to the Olympic Stadium.
The 29-year-old also earned the awards for Signing of the Season, Top Goalscorer, Goal of the Season and Players’ Player of the Year.
The France international has settled quickly into Slaven Bilic’s side and become a fans’ favourite at West Ham.
Attendees at the ceremony broke into song when Payet picked up the Hammer of the Year trophy, showing just how much he means to supporters and the team.
