Spurs star Walker fires warning to league leaders Leicester ahead of title-deciding games
IF LEICESTER ARE crowned champions tomorrow afternoon Kyle Walker is confident they may have to hand it to Spurs next season anyway.
Kyle Walker has featured in 30 of Tottenham's 35 Premier League games this term
Tottenham's England defender knows the Premier League title race could be over when they go to Chelsea on Monday, but no one from White Hart Lane will be throwing in the towel.
As Walker says: "We've set the bar now. This is the level we need to produce week in, week out. The gaffer would not want anything less and us players would not want anything less either."
Whatever happens Walker, now back to his best after a long layoff with an abdominal injury, is hoping to celebrate the best season of his career looking forward to a successful Euro championships campaign with England in the summer and a Champions League one with Spurs next season.
"We're going for a title and worst case scenario, hopefully, it's the Champions League. Who would have thought I would have been saying that two years ago?
"It's all positives now. We're not building on sand. We're building on good foundations. We need to keep building. We need to keep reaching to the goal where Tottenham Hotspur should be."
