Ian Wright thinks Tottenham could overtake Arsenal
Spurs beat United on Sunday to keep their title dreams alive while Arsenal let a two-goal lead slip at West Ham to all but kill theirs.
Tottenham are six points clear of the Gunners, but have played a game more.
And Wright, the former Arsenal striker, thinks troubling times are ahead but does believe the youngsters at the Emirates give them some hope.
"It’s hard for me to say it but with Spurs playing with intensity, quality and determination, the power shift is certainly around there," Wright told TheSun.
"But with young players like Iwobi, Welbeck, Bellerin and Coquelin, Arsenal have something to build on."
He added: "Arsenal have stood still, while there’s been a mentality change for Tottenham.
"Mauricio Pochettino has slowly got his team playing at a tempo which teams are finding hard to deal with.
"When you sprinkle that with quality from the likes of Kane, Alli, Alderweireld and Lloris, then the spine is so strong.
"Any Arsenal fan who says they are not worried about Spurs right now is being a bit closed off."
And with Leicester closing in on the title Wright feels this will be another year of huge regret for Arsene Wenger's side.
"Arsenal fans will be disappointed if Tottenham finish above them. But if they see Spurs win the league it will be too much to take," Wright said.
"Everyone said it was Arsenal’s to win — but they have dropped the ball and wasted too many opportunities."
