And according to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, Conte has set his sights on Morata, who has 10 goals to his name this season.
The Spain international is set for a busy transfer window with Real Madrid reportedly ready to activate his £23.7m buy-back clause before offloading him for profit.
Chelsea are expected to face competition for Morata, though, with Premier League rivals Arsenal reportedly interested in the 23-year-old forward.
"I am happy in Italy but Germany and England are both countries where my style of football could be better suited," Morata said last month.
"I like the Premier League a lot because of the way football is played there. It's more attractive for a striker because it is not as tactical as in Italy."
