Arsene Wenger: Arsenal in talks with this international forward
ARSENE WENGER has confirmed Arsenal have opened talks with Alex Iwobi over a new and improved contract.
Alex Iwobi to sign new deal at Arsenal
Iwobi made the headlines last month after he scored on his first Premier League start against Everton and followed it up with another goal on Saturday in the Watford win.
The 19-year-old academy graduate still has three years left on his current deal at the Emirates, but Wenger admits he's keen to reward his form with improved terms.
“We are discussing it at the moment, yes, to extend him,” the Gunners manager said. “I think he is a real Arsenal person. He has been here since the age of eight.
“He has, anyway, three years left at the end of the season but we want, of course, to keep him here for longer.

Iwobi today revealed his intention to represent Nigeria at the Rio Olympics this summer, meaning he could miss Arsenal's opening fixtures of next season should they reach the final.
