Transfer News: Double Liverpool snub, Ex-Chelsea ace’s Arsenal regret, major Man Utd clue
EXPRESS SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is a target for Manchester United and Chelsea
The pair have both been heavily linked with a move to Anfield but the Telegraph claim they have been beaten by City, who have made their transfer moves early ahead of Pep Guardiola’s arrival in the summer.
He said: ”I think back to the day when Jose Mourinho blocked my Chelsea loan at Arsenal. It was the time of his return to the club, and I think it would have been a very good move.
"It happened on the last day of the transfer window. I was in Paris, at rest, and Arsenal representatives called me to tell me it was going to happen.
"I then came back to London for the medical. Upon arriving, I was left surprised that Mr Mourinho had blocked my move to Arsenal.
"Mesut Ozil arrived, and to strengthen a competitor like Arsenal was very complicated if it worked."
Manchester United v Everton - Premier League match preview
The 17-year-old has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea and his representative Mino Raiola claims he is getting admiring glances from Europe’s elite.
"I will meet with Adriano Galliani and if the day comes when Donnarumma will leave, it will only be to play for a foreign club. He only sees Milan in Italy.
"I won't say anything in particular, but it's clear he is receiving a lot of attention.
"I can only say that he is doing well for Milan and he appreciates all the attention he is receiving. Christian Abbiati has been like a big brother to him."
