Granit Xhaka looks likely to join Arsenal in the summer
Liverpool look set to miss out on Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer to Premier League rivals Arsenal.
That is according to German newspaper Bild, who claim the Gunners are closing in on a £35million deal for the Switzerland international.
The 23-year-old, who has three goals to his name this term, has said on a number of times this season that he wants to one day play in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Reds playmaker Philippe Coutinho could miss out on Saturday's visit of Tottenham (5:30pm).
That is according to the Liverpool Echo, who claim Jurgen Klopp could decide to rest the 23-year-old at Anfield following his 13-hour flight during international duty with Brazil.
Coutinho, who was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw in Paraguay, will arrive at Melwood tomorrow to be assessed.

Jerome Sinclair has reportedly agreed a move away from Liverpool to join Watford
And finally, ESPN claim Liverpool youngster Jerome Sinclair has agreed a deal to join top-flight rivals Watford this summer.
The Hornets expressed an interest in the 19-year-old forward during January, with his contract at Anfield set to expire at the end of the season.
Sinclair will reportedly put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Vicarage Road.
