Man Utd and Chelsea transfer battle: Juventus offer Edinson Cavani £100,000-a-week deal
JUVENTUS are reportedly preparing a £15.7million contract offer to beat Manchester United and Chelsea to Edinson Cavani.
Juventus could offer Edinson Cavani a £15.7m deal to snub the Premier League
Juve are known suitors of Uruguay international Cavani and are understood to be preparing a bid.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker is thought to be on the verge of quitting French football.
Both United and Chelsea have been linked with summer swoops for the 29-year-old, who is keen to remain in Europe.
Cavani's agent recently revealed the striker would prefer to work under Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri or Antonio Conte, who is expected to become Chelsea's new manager this summer, over Jose Mourinho, who is favourite to get the Manchester United job by the start of next season.
“Who do I prefer between Mourinho, Conte and Allegri?" agent Fernando Guglielmone told Tuttosport.
"They are three big coaches, but for Edy I’d prefer the attacking game of Conte and (Juve head coach Massimiliano) Allegri.”
