Arsenal transfer shock: Barcelona eye stunning swoop for midfielder
BARCELONA are ready to make a summer bid for Arsenal's Mesut Ozil.
Could Mesut Ozil leave Arsenal?
The German has had his best season for the Gunners since joining in 2013, with 18 assists in 28 games.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old dismissed claims his relationship with manager Arsene Wenger was in trouble.
He tweeted: "Arsene Wenger was a big reason for me joining Arsenal – this hasn’t changed! #Respect #AFC."
But Spanish newspaper AS claim Barcelona technical director Roberto Fernandez is working on a plan to bring Ozil back to Spain.
In a bid to seal the deal, Barcelona are said to be prepared to sell Arda Turan, Munir and Sandro to fund a move for Ozil.

It is claimed Arsenal must inform Madrid if they ever intend to sell him to another Spanish club.
Arsenal are unlikely to want to sell Ozil but contract renewal talks are yet to take place and a trophyless season could throw his Emirates future in doubt.
