Juventus chief admits worries about striker's Arsenal move
JUVENTUS general manager Giuseppe Marotta has admitted he is worried about Alvaro Morata leaving this summer.
Marotta is concerned Juventus will not have control of Morata's future
Morata arrived at Juve in 2014 and has racked up 25 goals in all competitions and broken into the Spanish international set-up since leaving Real Madrid.
But the striker has a reported £24million buy-back clause in his contract which Real are considering activating at the end of the season.
The Sun are reporting that the 23-year-old would not be a purchase for the Madrid first team but rather in order to immediately sell him on to Arsenal for £40m.
Juventus are said to be unlikely to sell the player directly to the Gunners but Marotta has revealed he does not know whether Madrid will use their clause to move Morata.
“The fact of Morata staying or not isn’t totally down to Juventus,” he said
“The clause? It’s the sword of Damocles hanging over the player’s stay.
