Chelsea's Diego Costa 'demonised' claims manager amid Spain exclusion
SPAIN boss Vicente del Bosque believes Diego Costa has been "demonised" at Chelsea.
Diego Costa has been defended by both managers at Spain and Chelsea for his approach
The Blues striker has endured a controversial career at Stamford Bridge and suffered his first red card at Chelsea 10 days ago.
Costa's latest incident saw him square up to Everton's Gareth Barry in their FA Cup quarter-final tie.
The Toffees midfielder revealed that Costa did not bite him after cameras appeared to show the Spaniard dig into Barry's neck.
"That's a good part of his approach. He also has other things that are bad, but I don't want either to change.
"If we called him it's because we already know him, but I don't like that he does ugly things, but the other day wasn't like that."
Costa has been excluded from the Spain squad for the current international break due to a thigh injury.
The striker could have featured against Italy and Romania but he's been forced to miss out ahead of the fast-approaching Euro 2016.
