Confirmed: Chelsea seal deal for defender
ALEX DAVEY has completed a four-month loan deal which will take him to Norwegian club Stabaek.
Davey is now on his third loan deal from Chelsea
Davey has previously been on short-term deals with Scunthorpe and most recently Peterborough.
He initially signed for Boro in August on a one-month deal but his performances convinced boss Dave Robertson to extend it until January 2016.
The 46-year-old also worked at Real Sociedad alongside David Moyes before both were sacked in November 2015.
McKinlay promptly took over at Stabaek just three weeks later and Davey is his fourth signing to the club during their winter off-season.
