Manchester United coach: Why I think we can beat Liverpool in Europa League
NICKY BUTT believes Manchester United can produce the magic required to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Butt believes David de Gea and co can overcome the first-leg disappointment
A Daniel Sturridge penalty and a Roberto Firmino strike gave the Reds a 2-0 lead which they will defend in the second leg of the Europa League last 16 on Thursday (8.05pm).
And despite the deficit, academy chief and former United midfielder Butt believes the Red Devils could yet produce a miraculous comeback.
"The one against Liverpool is going to be a tough task," Butt said.
"I certainly used to look at them when I was on holiday and the fixtures used to come out for the league.
"They are the ones I look forward to and they’re two massive games at a massive time of the season.
"Let’s see what that brings."
