Chelsea made to sweat as £18m quit threat is delayed
CHELSEA were left in limbo last night after managerial candidate Antonio Conte was forced to delay his crunch talks with Italy bosses.
Antonio Conte is ready to quit his post as Italy boss after Euro 2016
Express Sport understands Conte, 46, is all set to become Chelsea's new manager this summer.
But he must first sever ties with the Italy national side, which he is preparing for the European Championships this summer.
It is no secret that the former Juventus head coach wants to return to club management after taking over the Italy post in 2014.
He has reportedly already agreed an £18million, three-year contract to become Chelsea boss.
But there are concerns the FIGC could make life difficult for Conte if they reject his resignation during the meeting in Florence.
