Man United handed huge boost as star midfielder returns to squad for Liverpool clash
MANCHESTER UNITED have named Bastian Schweinsteiger in their squad for tonight's clash with Liverpool.
Bastian Schweinsteiger last played for United at the beginning of January
Schweinsteiger has not played for United since suffering a knee injury in the FA Cup third round win over Sheffield United.
Yesterday Louis van Gaal revealed the German World Cup winner had returned to training, but the Dutchman doubted whether the 31-year-old would be fit for the clash at Anfield.
However the former Bayern Munich star has now been named in tonight’s 18-man squad for the Europa League clash.
Teenager Joe Riley, who made his full debut in the Europa League win over FC Midtjylland last month, has also been included in the squad.
