Pedro Chirivella has signed a new contract at Liverpool until 2020
The 18-year-old midfielder has made four appearances this season in the Europa League and FA Cup and has been rewarded for his progress by Jurgen Klopp.
Chirivella was signed from Spanish outfit Valencia in 2013 and he went straight into the Reds' under-18's side before earning his first professional contract in 2014.
He then graduated to the under-21's and became a regular, and his impressive displays saw him earn his first taste of senior football under Brendan Rodgers when he came off the bench twice in Liverpool's Tour of Asia in 2015.
Klopp is a manager who likes to nurture young talent and he heaped praise on Chirivella following his impressive display in his first start for Liverpool in their 2-1 defeat to West Ham in the FA Cup fourth round replay.

He said: “The double-six [Pedro Chirivella and Kevin Stewart] are very young and were really good.”
This comes after Stewart himself put pen to paper on a new deal, which also runs until 2020 at Anfield.
Liverpool are set to take on Manchester United in the Europa League tomorrow (8:05pm) and the youngster could feature after a positive display in his previous Europa League outing against Bordeaux.
