Italian giants to begin Aston Villa exodus after snubbing initial £5.4m deal
JORDAN VERETOUT will start Aston Villa's summer clear out with a move to AC Milan, according to reports.
Jordan Veretout could quit Aston Villa for Milan this summer
Villa are likely to be relegated from the Premier League this season, which would reportedly trigger a mass exodus of players.
Gabriel Agbonlahor, Joleon Lescott and Idrissa Gueye are all expected to be offloaded.
And Villa will likely sell a number of their other high earners in preparation for life in the Championship.
Italian outlet calciomercato.com claim Milan considered an offer for the player at the end of last season when he was still in Ligue 1.
They could have secured his services for as little as £5.4m but at the time were locked in talks to land Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.
Milan were all set to sign Kondogbia until city rivals Inter hijacked the deal at the 11th hour.
And by that point it was too late to approach Veretout.
