Revealed: The stats that show how important John Terry is for Chelsea
ARE Chelsea better off without John Terry?
John Terry has been out since the middle of February
The Chelsea skipper has been out of action since coming off in the 5-1 win over Newcastle on February 13.
He's started 21 games games in the league this season and another seven in other competitions.
But with Chelsea improving under Guus Hiddink, and winning three of the five games Terry has missed, do they still need their captain?
These stats, provided by fantasy football game www.oulala.com, would suggest not.
Without Terry Chelsea have a 38% win rate, compared to 33% with him.
They concede, on average, half a goal more when he plays and Terry ranks third in the stats lists for tackles won per game, aerial duals and interceptions.
Terry misses tonight's Champions League last 16 second leg clash with PSG with the Blues 2-1 down from the away tie.
Hiddink's side will be up against it and the Dutchman admits they start as underdogs.
"We are underdogs, also with the season Chelsea is experiencing, especially in the first half," Hiddink said.
"Now the players have regained confidence, but we are not the favourites.
"You see the PSG team – we also have quality – but they can rest five, six, seven players [at the weekend]. We will be a very tough underdog."
