Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce: What I thought of Crystal Palace draw
SAM ALLARDYCE was full of praise for Fabio Borini's wonder goal that won Sunderland a point at the Stadium of Light.
Borini's last-minute strike grabbed Sam Allardyce a point
Dame N'Doye had given Sunderland a first-half lead with his deflected effort.
But Connor Wickham, who started up front for Crystal Palace against his former club, scored twice in six minutes and seemed to have given Alan Pardew a much-needed away win.
But Borini had other ideas, somehow drilling the ball home from an almost-impossible angle in the last minute of normal time.
"Borini's goal should have been the winner," Allardyce added.
"Our frailties have come to light again and it’s saved us from defeat, not won us the game."
