Hugo Lloris and Mauricio Pochettino tasked with keeping Tottenham's trailblazers grounded
WHEN Paulo Sousa and Hugo Lloris start talking up Spurs young lions, Premier League and Europa League rivals would do well to take notice.
Lloris and Pochettino are hoping to guide Tottenham through tough games with Arsenal and Dortmund
Sousa, just 45 but winner of two Champions League medals, national league titles in Israel and Switzerland, and the coach who steered Swansea to their highest ever position in the Premier League, believes Mauricio Pochettino's trailblazers are going to take some stopping.
And Lloris, who's seen it all and got the T-shirt as France's No 1 goalkeeper, reckons there are no known limits for young teammates chasing a double that flies in the face of their inexperience as far as major honours go.
Hardly any wonder, then, that one of Pochettino's biggest tasks right now is keeping their feet on the ground.
"We are sure we have enough quality in the squad to compete in both competitions and we push them hard every day. Now we have a major challenge to fight for big things. It is very important now for everyone at this club. We are all working in the same direction."
As it stands right now Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League, and their fierce rivals from Arsenal in the Premier League, are major obstacles to be overcome.
Sousa, who won a Champions League medal with Dortmund, is not betting against Spurs beating both of them.
