They beat Danish side FC Midjtylland 5-1 at Old Trafford to move into the last 16 of the Europa League 6-3 on aggregate.
Youngster Marcus Rashford scored twice on his debut after replacing injured Anthony Martial just before kick off.
Former Fulham defender Nikolay Bodurov put through his own net after the Danes had actually taken the lead on the night through Pione Sisto.
But Rashford's double before late goals from Ander Herrera and Memphis Depay sealed United's passage.
"The first half we played well, they created one chance and scored one goal," Blind said on BT Sport.
"We played quick and created a lot of chances in the first half, then in the second half we played even better and scored the goals."
