£132.5m Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd target set to be offered deal
CHELSEA, Liverpool and Manchester United have been dealt a blow in the race to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
AC Milan are planning to offer Gianluigi Donnarumma a new deal
The Italian, who turns 17 today, has been linked with a move to the Premier League after an impressive breakthrough season at the San Siro.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all reportedly interested in a move for the youngster.
But Il Quotidiano Sportivo claim AC Milan are ready to offer the goalkeeper a new contract to keep him at the club.
The report adds the new contract for the youngster will be a five-year deal worth £15,000-a-week.
Donnarumma has kept six clean sheets in 18 Serie A appearances for Milan this season after making his debut in October.
And his agent, Mino Raiola, believes the youngster is already worth at least £132.5m after comparing him to a piece of Italian artwork.
"I'd compare him to a (piece by Italian artist Amadeo) Modigliani," the teenager's representative told Mediaset Premium. "He's worth €170m (£132.5m). He has a great future. He's an extraordinary kid and everyone loves him. He's already a little champion but he can become a great one."
Liverpool, Chelsea and United still believe they can prize Donnarumma away from the San Siro with an offer of higher pay.
