Manchester United reach agreement to sign Jose Mourinho's top target
MANCHESTER UNITED have reached an agreement over signing Renato Sanches, according to reports.
Mourinho is said to be a keen admirer of his fellow countryman
Sanches only made his debut for Benfica last October having spent the previous season playing for the club's B team in the second tier of Portuguese football.
But since bursting onto the scene the 18-year-old has become a crucial part of the starting line-up with 18 appearances in all competitions this term.
The deal includes a release clause of around £62million but Benfica are said to be willing to sell for closer to £47m.
With Juventus also reportedly interested in the player, United may be forced to match that figure although up to a third of that fee are reportedly expected to be add-ons in a deal similar to that which brought Anthony Martial to Old Trafford.
